how to customise the legend in Project 2007? Add my task formats

Hi im trying to customise the legend in project and i dont have aclue.
I have found the legend and can add from the page set up menu - but i have
bars set to certain formats to mean different things and all the legend shows
are the standard bars etc; also the bars are colour coded to determine
responsibilty/ ownership how do i define this within the legend?

any help would be great. thanks
