How to Customize Project Server time used

L

Lem

I have project server 2007 in a windows environment and the only feature we
want to use is the timesheet management feature but I have a few problems.

1. I cant find out how the user can track how much "comp time" they have
left it only tells the user how much vacation time was used.

2. Is it possible for the administrator to see all the time from everybody
since they sign the checks.

3. I would like to further customize project server is there any way to do
that?

4. when a user submits a timesheet it displays a yellow circle but when they
hover over it the subtext is apporved instead of in progress. Is this how its
supposed to work?

Thanks please let me know if there are any more details I need to provide or
if I need to have a seperate thread for each item.

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your questions,
first of all let me share an opinion. If the only feature you are using in
Project Server 2007 is the My Timesheet functionality, I believe you are
wasting your time and your money. Why don't you purchase a real
time-keeping system? You would get a lot more functionality for your money
by using a tool that is a dedicated timesheeting tool. The My Timesheet
feature in Project Server 2007 is set up to integrate with the rest of the
project management system, thus, it is not the robust timesheeting system
you seek. Just a thought. Hope this helps.
