How to delete a message from the outbox in Outlook 2000

Auggie

I have Microsoft Office 2000. This question is for Outlook 2000 only. This
is not for Outlook 2003 because it is somewhat different then Outlook 2000.
Does anyone know how to delete a message in the outbox in Outlook 2000 not
Outlook 2003?
The email just sits there and will not let me delete or send. if I try to
send or delete, I get message stating that it is in the mapi spooler
transmitting. I received several replies on howtodeleteoutbox. I tried the
workoffline way but it didn't work. The other way to delete the message is
for Outlook 2003 and I have Outlook 2000. Can someone give me instructions
in how to delete a message in the outbox for Outlook 2000 not Outlook 2003
