How to Delete a VB Module

B

Barry

Greetings:

I've inherited a document which contains two nearly identical macro modules.
One is the currently used macro set. The other is an older, obsolete
version of the same macro set (the previous owner is a bit of t pack rat ;-).
I want to delete the obsolete module but can't figure out how. I can erase
the macro code, but I can't discard the Module itself. I expect this is
ridiculously simple and I'm just too dense to see it, but can someone point
me in the right direstion?

Thanks in advance.

Go into the Project window (probably upper-left) and right click on
the module that you want to delete. From the selection list, choose
Remove <module>. You'll be asked if you want to export the module
first. Just say no. ---larry

Thank you Larry.

As I thought, embarrassingly simple. I've checked that shortcut menu I
don't know how many times. I've never seen the "Remove" option til now.
*sigh*

On a somewhat related task, is there a simple way to compare the content of 2
modules? Any easy way to print out a few selected subroutines within a
module?
Thanks.

I export the modules and use comparison freeware like ExamDiff to
compare them, and an ASCII text editor like NoteTab Light to print
them. Not one-button easy, but pretty easy.
