The manager should do the following:

1. Open the project in question
2. Click View - Resource Usage
3. Find the resource in question and then locate the Vacation task under
the resource's name
4. Scroll the timephased grid (timesheet on the right) and select the cell
containing the 8 hours of vcation time
5. Press the Delete key on the keyboard
6. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
7. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
8. Click the OK button

If your organization uses the Managed Time Periods feature in Project
Server, your Project Server administrator would need to temporarily disable
this feature before the manager performs the above steps. Hope this helps.

Hi,

but when we delete the press button after the cell of 8 hours in timephased
grid the dialog box is appearing .
with the "OK" button.

" Your action may resultin actuals in this project becoming out of synch
with the actuals updated from timesheets.
You can: synch actuals with the Synch actuals command on the Traching menu,
or synch actuals when you save the project."

and when I save the project . the second dialog box is appearing with the
"YES" or "NO" .

"The actual work in "Project Name" any be out of sync with the actual work
updated from timesheets.

Do you want to sync with protected actuals when you save this project?"

if i press "YES" then the 8 hours come in that cell again .
and if I press "NO" then the second dialog box will appear again and again
next time when i will open the project.

please tell what i will do in this case.

Ask your Project Server administrator to temporarily disable the Managed
Time Periods feature, then perform the steps I specified. After you are
finished, he/she can enable the feature again. Hope this helps.
