How to delete country when addressing envelope from contact list

When using Word 2002 and addressing an envelope from
env.& Lables using contacts list the address adds "United
States of America". How do I get rid of this USA. I'm
thinking that when I installed the Office XP Small
Business suite that some additional setting was added
that I may not have realized would effect the contacts
list?
