How to Delete Every other row

I was given a workbook with everyother line unpopulated.
5000 lines. Is thier a way to delete evey other line other
than manually..?

Select the sheet, press F5, click special, select blanks,
click OK. Do edit>delete, select entire row.
You might want to do this on a backup copy though
