How to delete pages and images

For the life of me, I can't seem to delete old pages and images from my
website. The site is published on a company intranet and as people
come and go, I need to make changes. The unfortunate thing for me is
that when I delete an image, close FP 2003, and then open FP 2003, the
image is back. The same thing applies for folders and pages that I' ve
deleted. Also, I tried creating a folder, moving the unwanted pages
into that folder and deleting it. That just created doubles: in the
folder and on the web site. What am I doing wrong? Somebody help me.

How are you accessing the "Intranet" to delete the pages??
As a disk based or server a based web??

I have been trying to delete the files on my local computer in FP. So,
disk-based. Should I be doing this another way? If so, can you please
explain it to me. Right now, the web site folder has so many pages,
image files, and folders that it has become unwieldy and difficult to
work with. Thanks.

It sounds as if, "for some reason" windows considers these to be "Protected files"
and is automatically restoring them.

Are you logged on to the machine with the same level of user privileges as were used to create the web??

If not, try logging on as an Administrator or a user with Administrator privileges.

Our IT guy is the one who created the web. I use his username and
password to log and publish changes to the website.
