how to delete recent document list? help i have 8 to delete

How do i delete in Microsoft Word Office and Student Recent Documents from a
list of 1 - 8?

If you want to delete them all then set tools > options > general > recently
used files to 0, confirm the change, then change it back to the number it
was previously.
