How to deliver to a single local folder from IMAP and Exchange

I have two accounts configured in my Outlook profile:

- an IMAP server account
- a Microsoft Exchange server account

(seen in this order in the E-Mail Accounts form)

I'd like to have a local copy of all messages, from both accounts, in the
same local folder file.

I configured to deliver mail to my local .pst file, but what I get is that
ONLY emails from the Exchange account are delivered to my local foder when
they arrive.

Messages from the IMAP account are kept in their folder and are not
delivered to the local folder. I must move them manually to the local folder
to download them locally.

Does anybody knows a solution to this?

There is no "solution" to it because that's how Outlook is supposed to work.
IMAP folders can not be the delivery location. You also should keep the
Exchange mailbox as the delivery location and not use a PST.

Hi Brian,

atfer a few trials, I have found that I have a problem with the definition
of the "delivery location", from the "E-mail Accounts" form.

To be more specific, when I select a local folder from the drop-down box
"Deliver new e-mail to the following delivery location", I expected new
e-mails to be automatically downloaded and shown in that local folder (which
is the topmost in the folder list view).

This is what was regularly happening with my old Exchange server account,
but as soon as I configured my new corporate IMAP account, e-mails are shown
in the server folder view, and not delivered to the local folder, unless I
move them manually.

A colleague of mine has done the same with his account, and it works as
expected. What else should I check in my setup, apart from the form I
mentioned before, to fix this?

I suspect there is a difference still that you don't recognize. An Exchange
account and an IMAP account can never share folders.

You could create a rule that will move messages from the IMAP Inbox to a
local PST.
