How to deploy/move customized views?

I need to deploy a number of customized views with a folder based application
solution. I thought if I saved .pst file for each folder it would capture
the custom views built for that folder for recovery on the receiving end of
the .pst. DIdn't work. What is best way to deploy/move customized views
for folders without having to go into the View/DefineView and build them all
over again?

That is a good solution *if* you created the views with the scope "on this folder visible to everyone."

Sue,
Found an even better solution to this problem that I will post in this reply
for the benefit of anyone else who comes to this forum item.
By downloading the "Backup" utility from Microsoft for Outlook (installs as
an add-in) it is possible to perform complete backups of the folders in a
cusstomized folder based solution into a .pst backup file, which DOES capture
the custom views as well as all the custom forms in the folders. Then it is
easy to deploy the folder based solution configuration to another location by
useing the Backup utility at the remote location to restore the backup .pst
file into the Personal Folder where you want to deploy it. Makes the
deployment process almost painless. If you also then create a .pst file of
the Rule Wizard rules for the folders and then use the Rule Wizard import at
the remote location every feature of the custom folder based solution is
deployed. Makes deployment simple and painless!
