How to designate a task in MS Project as an external task

I am just learning to use MSProj - I want to put in relevant milestones that
are external to the project itself. how do I do that?

Hi,

If you create a link beteween the external milestone (in the externaal
projet) MS Project will display the external milestone (or external task)
with a specific symbol.
Otherwise, you can create yourself a specifique symbol in Format / Bar
Styles... in the Show For column, select : Milestone,Flag1 if you have set
the Flag1 to Yes for this milestone.
