How to detect/eliminate word keyboard command conflicts.

Currently this application of Office Pro word 2003 seems to have a hidden
keyboard command. When in a document, and I try to select a column of text
using the "alt" drag technique, it seems to trigger the "research" pane.
Attempts to use the tools > customize method to change the keyboard command
has proven unsuccessful. Any ideas?

Some complete bozo assigned Alt+Click to the Open Research Pane. Hopefully
it will changed before we all go nuts.

That said, I don't have any problem using Alt+Drag; just make sure not to
fumble the mouse button. As long as you keep the button depressed, it will
not register as a click.

The problem is that I forget about it until I've fumbled!

I have had zero problems with Alt+drag, but I get very annoyed when I
absent-mindedly try to select a table with Alt+double-click.
