I've surpassed the number of allowable phone entries supported in my bluetooth-enabled car and would like to determine the total number of phone entries in my Address Book. Entourage displays the total number of Address Book entries as "Items Displayed" in the lower left. However, for each entry I may have a Home, Work, and/or Mobile number, making the actual number of phone entries that my bluetooth system sees higher by as much as 3x this number. Thanks in advance for any help on finding this number. Paul

Diane, Thanks for your post. However, this is not what I'm looking for. I'm not interested in adding more phone numbers in Entourage. I just want to know how many TOTAL phone number entries I have across all of my contacts. For example, I have 1,000 contacts, and for each one I have a Home, Work, and maybe a Mobile number. So, my total number of phone entries is somewhere between 1,000-3,000. My bluetooth device in my car supports loading only 1,000 total phone entries, so I'm trying to find this number more precisely so I know how many I need to delete to get to 1,000. Thanks, Paul

Sort your Address Book by Phone columns. Most should sort to the top. Next
select all phone entries. You can Command click to add them not in sequence.
At the bottom left it will show you how many selected. BUT......

You will need to do this for home and work which could get complicated
having some in both fields. Adding a category "phone" to each contact would
let you sort by category: phone to find a total. So when you sort by columns
home phone/work phone select and add the category. Then sort by category
phone and select all for total.

One of the scripters might be able to script this, but when it's free you
wait until they have the time.
