How to disable Inbox "sniffer"

I have a user who dislikes the "sniffer" which will automatically enter a
meeting request as tentative in his calendar. I've tried to create a rule
that moves every incoming meeting request/appt. to a local folder, and even
that rule doesn't run in "real time". I must manually go into the Tools,
Rules menu and select "Run rules now" for the rule to process. We're running
IMAP for mail and the client is Outlook 2003 SP1. Just want to disable the
"sniffer"!!!!

When you say local folder, do you mean to a folder in a PST?

If so, try creating a new folder in the Inbox and move them there.
This should run all the time.
