How to disable MSAccess DDE operations

We use a custom ODBC driver which does dde connect to an
external DDE Server. When running a Query from MSAccess
using this custom ODBC driver, the DDE connect is taking a
long time which seems to be related to MSAccess's DDE
operations.

How can we disable MSAccess from registering itself as a
DDE Server.

Setting MSAccess Options (Tools|Options), Advanced Tab,
select "Ignore DDE requests" and deselect "Enable DDE
Refresh", does not seem to help.

Hi,


I don't think you can, since ( I think ) it ( still ) uses NetDDE
internally. One thing you can try: Tools | Options ... [ Advanced ] ,
check the option "Ignore DDE requests".
