Is there a way to disable the new message indicator for mail that goes to
certain mail subfolders (i.e. Norton AntiSpam folder), yet keep it enabled
for other mail folders?
Getting interrupted numerous times per day to unnecessarily check email,
only to find out that it is new spam mail in my Norton AntiSpam folder.
Would also like to apply this to other mail folders that I would prefer to
not be notified when the message first arrives.
I'm referring to the "show an envelope icon in the system tray" when new
items arrive. Would save a lot of time (and frustration) if there were a
solution.
Note: I have Outlook 2002. XP, SP2. I set up rules for several mail
subfolders. Norton AntiSpam folder was established via a .exe of some type.
I contacted Norton (Symantec) and they said they had no solution for this.
Thanks for any help on this!
