How to display hex values of the background of various cells?

I have an Excel sheet with various cells whose background have almost the same color.

I want to investigate the exact colors of all those cells.

For that reason I would appreciate to have a function in Excel which let me hover with
the mouse over those cells and the according hex value is displayed in status bar.

Is this somehow possible?
