How to display text vertically?

Eric

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to display text vertically?
There is a combined cell A1:A5, and there is a text "abc"
I would like to display the text within the single cell as shown below
a
b
c

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Your terminology "combined cell A1:A5" is not clear.

Do you mean that those cells are *merged*?

If so, then hitting
<Alt> <Enter>
after each character will display those letters vertically.

You could then format the cell(s) for horizontal and vertical placement
within the merged range.
