How to do a screen shot of only certain info on a page?

Hi. I'm busy setting up training docs with screen shots. I want to show
screen shots of just certain sections of a page. How do i do this? Every
time i do Print Scrn or ALT Print Scrn, the whole page that i'm viewing is
being copied!

There's nothing built in that does it. When you get tired of cropping
full-window shots in Paint, you need a screen capture program that can let
you capture just a region.

Get the free 30-day trial of SnagIt from
http://www.techsmith.com/download/snagittrial.asp and give it a whirl.

Hello, Lee-Ann.

The way I do it is to crop just the section that I need. Is this Word 2007?

In addition to Snag-it, which is a little expensive IMO, there are a bunch
of free utilities that do that. Just Google "screen capture"

I consider SnagIt's price more than reasonable for the features it offers.

Expensive? Those who have the need to use SnagIt regularly would tend to
disagree. Not only does it have powerful screen capture and annotation
tools, it is a graphics editor and file converter and has the ability to
export any printable document into just about any graphics format you care
to name - including PDF format.

For setting up training documents, web pages etc it is invaluable. But don't
take my word - there is a fully operational trial version. See if you can
manage without it. If not it is a tad under $50.

I was actually surprised to see that it was $49.95. I believe that's a
recent price increase.
