How to do spreadsheet software performance testing?

Hi, Dear all:

Any one has suggestion about how to do performance testing
of spreadsheet software(just like EXCEL)? If we pay
attention on system bottleneck, which kind of wordload
should be considered?

I am not sure how to get the workload for this kind of end-
user software which unlike Client/Sever systems, or how to
define the workload?

Any suitable performance testing method can be used?
