I found this info on a school website (http://help.lps.org/LiveTime/WebObj...id=436AD9A5428821A8827DE7FA6C2E8424?kbaId=134):

Adding Clip Art from the Web in Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac
Summary
Two methods for adding Clip Art from the Web in Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac
Body
By default the Clip Art program in Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac will open the clip art download site in Firefox. When downloading new art, Firefox removes the file extension from the Clip Art files, naming them "Clip Art". This makes it so that the Office clip art gallery does not recognize the file when trying to import it because it will not allow it to be selected.

There are a couple of ways to work around this.

Method 1

If you open the clip art site with Safari it will downloads the files correctly. To do this, you will need to copy the link to the Microsoft Clip Art site out of the address bar in Firefox and paste it into the address bar in Safari. Once you have loaded the page in Safari, bookmark it. Then in the future, anytime you need additional clip art, go to Safari and using the bookmark to get to the site, download new clip art. When finished downloading clips, click on each of the clip art files you saved on the Desktop. Clicking the files will automatically import them into Office for future use. Once the files have been imported, they can be thrown away because they are no longer needed as the information has already been imported into office.

Method 2

Let the Clip Art use Firefox to browse for additional images. When you find a clip you like, download it to the Desktop. Firefox will save the file as "Clip Art". Double click the file name to rename it "flag.cil" or "flower.cil" or whatever that particular image was of. Giving the clip art files a unique name when adding the .cil extension will help you remember what the clip is later, however Office won't care what the file is named, as long as you remember to add the .cil extension to the end of the file name office will recognize it as clip art. After renaming, you can double click on the file's icon and the clipart will automatically load into office. Once the files have been clicked and loaded into office, they can be thrown away.
