How to download only email start from a date from email server

How to download only email start from a particular date from email server

This email account is shared by multiple people and after download the copy
of email is not deleted. Up to now, there are few thousand email in email
server.

I had almost all the email in my local datafile. I did format my PC and
install the outlook follow by configure the outlook to download email.

When the outlook start to download the email, it start to download all email
(few thousand), but, I actually i had almost all of them except those start
from 1 July 2005.

How to avoid the outlook downloadd all the emil that I have in a datafile.

Add a filter to your send\receive settings. HOW?

->Tools->options->mailsetup->send and receive
in the send\receive groups windows
->edit->account properties->remote mail->check Retrieve items that meet
following condition->filter->advanced->from and enter the date from where you
want to start

That should do the trick

I did not have remote mail option.
How?
