I have a form and subform where users enter items for a Purchase
Requision. The main form contains what I call header info - Customer,
OrderNo,, ReqNo (autonumber field) etc. and the subform contains line
items - linking info is the ReqNo.
Many times, a customer will duplicate an order, meaning we can simply
duplicate the Purchase Requisition. If I add the button that duplicates
a record, it obviously only duplicates the header info. I thought about
using 2 append queries, having the first one append the header info
(generating a new ReqNo by autonumber), but I would then need to append
the line items and have them assign the same ReqNo. Is there a standard
way to do this.
Thanks,
Darrell
