how to edit a cell

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

please explain how to edit data in a cell

Personally I far prefer to edit in the Formula bar :), but if you prefer
editing directly in the cell you can either double-click it (just make sure
the pointer looks like a bold white cross rather than a hand) or you can
select the cell then use Control+U to get into Edit Mode.
