How to edit Column Name 'screen tip' in a Ledger Sheet?

Processor: Power PC

When hovering the cursor over a Microsoft-provided Column Name, I see a 'screen tip'-type yellow info box. For example, the 'screen tip' displayed while hovering over the 'Date' Column Name is "The date of the transaction."

I can edit the Column Name. How do I edit the text that displays in the 'screen tip'-type info box?

I am using the Microsoft-provided Inventory List Ledger Sheet Template.

Wow! Great question! It never occurred to me that someone might want to
change the tooltip for a ledger sheet column header. Right now you can't do
it.

I will add this as a feature request for the next release as it makes total
sense if you're changing the column name to something that isn't related to
the original column name.

One workaround is to select the column header cell and choose
Insert->Comment. That way you can add descriptive text that displays when
you hover over the column header cell.

Sorry for the delay--I've been away.

Thanks for your comprehensive answer. I'll struggle along until the new feature arrives...

Thanks again.
