How can I edit the Conversation field contents and make them visible on all
messages sent or received?
I need a way to group messages into a thread, similar to how Newsgroups and
Forum messages are linked. While I might be able to use Categories to
accomplish groups messages on keywords, I would end up with an inordinate
number of categories based on subject content. As it is, I have 7 years
worth of messages in about 15 .PST files and well over 200 folders. Many,
many times I have needed to recover information originally processed 2-3
years ago. Maybe half a dozen times a year I need to reach back to messages
from 1997-1998. Many of these latter messages are used in making policy
decisions/changes.
In addition, I am a member of an online support group that has a
preponderance of new computer users who do not know how to manage email
subjects/threads. They either change the subject or also frequently reply
using the same subject but wholly unrelated content. Therefore, I also have
an interest in managing my personal messages by Conversation.
