How to effectively backup Entourage 2008

Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I got a customer that has been having issues with Office (programs crashing after opening), so I'm going to format the computer and re-install everything to see if it can get it fixed (I already completely updated Office and the crashes still occur).

Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone could point out the most effective way to export/backup the information in Entourage 2008 (mail, attachments, contacts and such) to be able to place them back when the reformatting is done?

Probably moving the User Data folder in Documents, but then I'm not sure if it would bring over any sort of error that is causing the crashes, hence why I'd only want to transfer the information (and not preferences, etc).

Did you test in a new User to see if the problems are in the User's folder?

You can simply move over the Main Identity folder, but this is not a
guarantee that the Identity is good.

Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1) you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same iss

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it's a problem with your
Office install or your base OS files.
