How to eliminate the automatic paragraph at the beginning of a TOC?

Hello,

I am trying to create a TOC that is actually three separate TOCs strung
together:

{TOC \b OpeningSections \t "H1,1"} {TOC \b MainContent \t
"H1,1,H2,2,H3,3"} {TOC \b ClosingSections \t "H1,1"}

The reason I want to do this is that I want less detail (fewer levels)
shown in the TOC for the Opening and Closing Sections of the document
(mostly fluff) than for the document's main content.

This almost works, but the problem I am having is that Word is
automatically inserting a new line before each TOC (see space between 2
and 3, and 3 and 4):

1. Welcome (H1, Opening Sections)
2. Your Schedule (H1, Opening Sections)

3. Locating the squeezle (H1, MainContent)
How squeezles hide (H2, MainContent)
Squeezle sounds (H2, MainConent)
Chirping (H3, MainContent)
Clinking (H3, MainContent)
Whispering (H3, MainContent)

4. Evaluation (H1, ClosingSection)

Do you know how to tell Word "no thanks" for these added paragraphs?

Thank you,

Will
