How to embed (all) used fonts into a Word document ?

Matthias Mernsen

Occasionally I use non standard TTF fonts in my Word (2003) documents.

Obviously when I open them on another computer (e.g. my notebook) where only standard fonts
are installaed then these text parts are dispalyed incorrectly.

Is there a way to embed/include the non standard TTF fonts in a Word 2003 document ?

It would be simpler to install the fonts on the notebook.

The Save tab of Tools | Options provides for font embedding, but note that
whether you can embed the font or not will depend on its license.

Matthias,
Go to Tools - options - save tab - check - embed true type fonts.
Uncheck box 'Do not embed common system fonts'

There is an option to do this on "Tools, Options, Save", but not all
fonts can be embedded, for legal reasons.

In Tools > Options > Save, check the boxes for "Embed TrueType fonts"
and "Do not embed common system fonts".
