How to enable reading pane options? Only this pop-up is disabled.

Trying to change my outlook properties for reading pane is failing, because
the whole pop-up window is disabled. All other options are free to be
modified. Where (How) do I force the change?

That doesn't control the Reading Pane.

Well. I don't know. Otherwise I wouldn't ask. ;o)

But the fact is, that all the fields in this particular pop-up (for reading
pane) only are gray-out and not changeable. My hope was, that there is a
configuration (or registry) entry somewhere, where I would be able either
enable this pane again or directly edit all properties in this pane. Thx.

I don't know your working environment;
Version of Outlook?
Type of mail account?
Are you a corporate or home user?
What "pop-up" are you referring to?

The Q is: Where does outlook store (get) the configuration for reading pane
to (from)? Details to my environment see below.

Have you verified with your admins already that this option is user
configurable? It is very likely that they have forced these settings by
Group Policy which is why the options are disabled.
