I am working on an application using visual basic.Net. We create a mail merge based on dot templates created and placed in a specified location on a server. When the application triggers a mail merge we want to make sure that the word document that is open on the client retains the formatting in the dot template instead of the normal dot template on the client. (For example if the dot template was setup to be a two page doicument it should be displayed like when the mail merge is done and displayed on the client). How to programmatically do this in VB.Net?
I read in "Visual Studio Tools for Office's Frequently Asked Questions" in Q18 that you should be able to prepend /Z to the path somehow but haven't been able to successfully do that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
