how to enter various hours

for task1 ranging from 1.1.09 to 30.4.09
i want to enter various hours on various days .(.not necessary 8 everyday)
is it possible? if so how?

Yes, in any Usage View,and throug VBA with the timescaledvalues object.

Hi Parag

As Jan has suggested you may do this through VBA.

But, if not conversant with VBA, first you may assign a resource to the
activity through Gantt chart as work comes through resources. It would be
assigned equally on all days. Then change the task to fixed duration, remove
effort driven and in Task/Resource usage view make required changes in the
specific cells. A rudimentary method but works.

The process is called Work Contouring and you can fine-tune the hours day by
day on either the Task Usage or Resource Usage views. Selecting the
particular assignment and opening the Assignment Information window will let
you also choose from several pre-defined contour patterns.
