I'm using windows XP with office 2000 standard. I had a
problem with my word for windows and decided uninstall it
and to reinstall it from the office 2000 again but I
realized that I've lost my CD. I asked microsoft a new CD
and they are going to send me in one month from now
because it is in back order.
As I had an urgency, I tried to install the word for
windows from another office 2000 ( this time office 2000
small business ). Then my word for windows crashed. I
unistalled it and tried again with the same result.
Then I decided to uninstall the entire office 2000
standard and install the complete pack from the office
20000 small business. Everything worked besides the word
for windows, which crashed again.
It seems that even removing the office there are still
some files which are crashing my word.
Now I want to clean all files related to the previous
office 2000 versions. I found an office 2000 eraser in the
microsoft site that doesn't work with windows XP.
Do you know how and where I can find something to REALLY
erase my previous office 2000 versions in order to use it
as the first time again, with the word for windows
working ?
Thank you very much,
Moses
