How to Export Contacts with Categories?

I need to export contacts only in certain categories into a text file,
which than then be used in electronic form for a mailing list by a
printer. I do not want to print labels. When I export contacts into
a text file the categories are not listed so I cannot then sort the
list to get just the contacts that I want in the specific categories
selected.

Exporting Entourage contacts as a tab delimited file gets all contacts. If
you want to export a specific category as a text file, export as an
Entourage archive (.rge) first.

Select the category under File > Export. THEN create a new Identity in
Entourage and import the .rge file. NOW you can export it as a tab delimited
file.

You'll need to do this for each category. Hope this helps!
