How to export RTF fields out of MS Project

I'm using MS project 2002. I'm finding it impossible to export the
Notes field within tasks out when I use the import/export wizard to
export the task/gantt view of my project to Excel, or any other format
for that matter. The Notes field is a Rich Text field (RTF). Though it
will let me include that field in the mapping facilitated by the wizard,
it only shows the first few text characters of the field and drops
everything else. I've tried to do this to both Excel and as a Web
page, but get the same result in both cases - a truncated field of just
a few characters. Does anyone know how to export all content in the
task Notes field? Thanks!

timlexky,
Unfortunately a simple export using an export map or even a copy and
paste will only take the first 255 characters or up to the first line
feed, whichever occurs first. To export more text from the Notes field
you will need either a macro or a SQL query directly from the Project
database. I have a macro specifically for exporting the Notes field but
it will not export the full RTF characteristics (e.g. it will not
recognize bullets or custom font formatting in the notes text).

If you are interested in my macro you can contact me at the address
below. I will ask some questions.
