How to Find a Corrupt Message in a PST

Outlook 2007 sp2/ Windows XP

Is there a tool that will find a corrupt message stored within a PST? My
PSTs keep going "bad" after scanpst fixes them so I'm sure I've got some bad
messages in there. I've been told to go through each message and if it
won't open, that's your bad one. I was hoping there was something more
automated out there.

Its more likely to be a third party addin or tool that is interacting with
your data file
Why are you running scanpst, are you getting a msg when you close or open
Outlook?

Please don't yell at me. Company policy is to keep all files, even PSTs, on
a network. Of course, this has damaged my PSTs. I've decided to start from
scratch and create new PSTs and store on my harddrive, but back them up to
the network as part of my shut-down proceedure. I would like to find the
corrupt messages in my "old" PSTs, get rid of it/them, then move them to my
harddrive as well.

I wasnt aware I was yelling
If these corrupt pst's are still stored and accessed over the LAN, copy them
to the local PC HD, assuming they are still connected in Outlook, close
them, within Outlook, prior to copying. Then run scanpst on them, check if
they remain stable, once connected to outlook.
You might want to point out this to 'Company Policy'

at me because I know storing PSTs on a network is a No-No. Thanks for the
