how to find my scanned saved image

I want to insert an image to part of my word document .I scanned in and saved
the image I wanted to my computer but when I click insert from file nothing
happens.

You've been misled by the Microsoft webpage - please scroll down and post in a
Word newsgroup, this first group is for a different program, Microsoft Access.

Can you open the image by doubleclicking it? Are you sure you have the
filename and path correct?
