How to Find Orphan Images?

J

I make a few temporary pages that include images. When I
remove/delete the temporary pages these images are left behind. Over
time they add up to a significant amount of wasted disk space. How
can I find these orphan images and delete them?

Look at the Unlinked Files Report that will give you a pointer.
However just because it is on that list doesn't guarantee that it
isn't used. In some cases FP can't tell that it is in use. For
instance if it is used by a Script. So you need to manually check to
be sure.

Sometimes leaving a freshly-baked apple pie on the window sill as bait will
attract them. The trick is to catch them before they eat it, or at least
before they finish eating it. Of course, the earlier you catch them, the
less apple pies you will have to bake, and, depending upon the number of
orphans, that could amount to quite a few.
