Hi Greatly Appreciated Helpers Out There in CyberLand,
We may have 200 people who can print to any of 30 printers. It is
remote from us in Info Tech, so when one printer runs out of paper:
Question:
Is there any way to determine the owner of a print job? If we could
have the print queue display the owner's name or login name, then we
could call the person to say - Please go put paper in the printer.
Thank you in advance! And T G I F. Kind regards,
Cole
We may have 200 people who can print to any of 30 printers. It is
remote from us in Info Tech, so when one printer runs out of paper:
It hangs up the print server (Windows 2000) in the server room (no one sitting there) because the print server gets a printer error message on it that must be responded to.
It hangs up everyone else's jobs - regardless of which printer they choose - same reason above.
Info Tech gets calls cause now no one can print to any printer served by that print server.
