how to find the path of word file using the excel which is embeded in the word file.

i have a msword file "abc.doc
inside the word file there is a embeded object (excel file)
case 1.
is there any possibility of creating a object of the excel fle
case 2
if yes then is there any possiblity of displaying the msword file path using excel file object
i want to this using visual basic for application

Hi Mani,

I'm not quite sure what you mean for case1, but for case2 take a look at the
code in my Field Link Updater at:

In there you'll find a function 'ParseOldField' which shows how you can
extract the path to your excel object.
