How to fix an invalid external refernce to a worksheet

I am copying entire worksheet formulas from one spreadsheet to another
workbook and therefore it embeds a link to the first workbook. When I go
into Edit Links, change Source and try to select the 2nd workbook, I get an
invalid external reference error. HELP!
