How to fix bad icons

R

Richard Ahlvin

The toolbar icons on my office 2003 applictions (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
are indistinct/fuzzy; look out of focus; they are very hard to distinguish.
The office 2000 icons were not that way on the same machine. How can this
be changed or fixed?

Thanks
Richard

Check and make sure the desktop's color depth is set to 32-bit and not
16-bit. Also, you might want to use TweakUI's repair option for fixing
icons.

One reason for the lack of inclusion of the Office Shortcut Bar is probably
the fuzzy appearance of the Icons if you use a previous version's OSB.
There is nothing wrong with your TV set - please return to your regular
programming. They look that way on all installations.

You can try a theming program (StyleXP comes to mind) but that is only a
minor improvement. Personally, I don't care about the appearance - just as
long as I can hover my mouse and see which of the myriad programs I am
trying to run.
