How to flag an outgoing email for follow up?

Hi,

I understand that by flagging an email, it would be sent to the "followup"
folder which is convenient and good. But I notice for the emails that i send
out, and if I flag it, it does not go to the "followup" folder, not even for
incoming emails with a flag. how can i do make this happen?

I flagged an item, and it is not appearing in the For Follow Up Search

thank you for your speedy response.

I understand that emails received with a flag will not appear in the "follow
up" folder, thanks for this.

what about emails that I send which I flag? it doesnt say anywhere if it
should be in the followup folder or it shouldnt be.
example, i send an email to terence and flag it red before i hit the send
button.
