How to format numbers in tables?

Is there a way to format the numbers in a table in Word
2002? For example, is there a way to make Word give each
number a certain number of decimal places or to format all
the numbers as currency? This would be convenience for
people who put lots of numeric data into Word tables.

No. Not in a basic table.

Yes if you are using a protected form. You can use text
fields and apply formatting swicthes.
