How to format text in datasheet or split form

I have found several sample databases that have a split form or a datasheet
form view with the new or ID field underlined and blue. I have tried several
differant ways to make this happen in my own database with no succsess. I
have used conditional formating and changed the text in design view. Can
someone please help?

I may have found the answer to my own question, however it brought up another
question. I am using access 2007 and found that the solution to my previous
question is to use rich text formating. I have about 300 users with 4 older
versions of access. In the help files it says to avoid rich text formating
in this case. Does this mean it will not work on any other versions of
access?

RTF isn't built into earlier versions of Access.
