How to get a revision number in the margin for a tracked change

Hi,
I have a document. I track changes.
How do I get a number in the margin to record how many times that line has
been changed?
and in another case:
How do I get a number in the margin to record that a changed occured in a
(1)first revision, (2)second revision or etc...

Put a textbox in the margin and enter the information manually. (You were
hoping for an automatic method, weren't you? ...tough.)
