How to get back lost Menu

Does any one know how to get back a lost Menu item.
I have lost the "Edit" dropdown menu in Excel
How do I get it back? the help in Excel has not been very helpful.

Under Tools=>Customize, select the first tab (toolbars) and select worksheet
menu bar. Click the reset button.
