How to get new styles into a template

K

Keith Brickey

I have several documents, all based on the same template. When I add a stye
to one of the documents, I would like to have that style saved in the
template, so that I can use it in the other documents that use the same
template. Is there any way to do that automatically?

Thanks,

Keith Brickey

You can add the style to the template by checking the "Add to template" box
in Modify Style. But this will have no effect on existing documents unless
you reattach the template (Tools | Templates and Add-ins) with
"Automatically update document styles" checked (be sure to uncheck it
afterward, as this setting can cause a myriad of problems, especially with
numbering).
