How to get recurring appt to show up ind on occurance date in his.

I am trying to get appointments with a recurring schedule to link as
individual items in the history of a business contact. Everything I've tried
just shows a recurring appoinment as 1 appointment even if it's schedule 20
times. I want to be able to view the business contact history for the
contact and see how many appts. they actually kept.

This is a perennial debate when designing calendaring software: create
individual appts or a recurring appt? There are conflicting reasons to
go either way. It appears that BCM is storing a copy of the single
Outlook appt item. The Outlook UI expands the recurring appt to every
instance when you view your Calendar, but the BCM history grid doesn't.

However, automatically expanding a single recurring appt into 20 actual
instances wouldn't tell you which ones the client actually kept.
Perhaps you could add a note to the Contact's history whenever the
client keeps an appointment?

In BCMv2 w/accounting this feature is captured by generating a timeslip
in the accounting system when the client keeps the appt, but the user
still has push the button to make it happen.

BCMw/acctg is not available today. I don't know the release date of
Microsoft Small Business Accounting, but there are signs that it is
getting closer.

For example, here's a website for folks developing add-ons for SBA:
